September 23rd the United Nations General Assembly will see the launch of the UN’s Food Systems Summit. This summit will aim to establish new actions to deliver progress on the 17 SDGs by realizing healthier, more sustainable and equitable food systems. Everyone is welcome to register to this people’s summit – as we all need to cooperate to transform the ways in which we produce, consume, and think about food. A transformation the summit aims to move forward by creating momentum within 5 distinct action tracks.
Over the past 7 years G4AW projects have been running in Africa and Asia, improving farming practices, and smallholder livelihoods, all through digitalization and the use of digital tools. In the run-up to the summit the G4AW team will show how our projects contribute to the summits’ action tracks and goals by sharing: Insights in the lessons learned during the G4AW project phases, and a guest blog by Andre Jellema project coordinator for GAP4A at Auxfin International (www.auxfin.com).
